Hybrid cars

A hybrid vehicle is a vehicle that combines an internal combustion engine with an electric motor. The second motor is intended to recapture kinetic energy in order to power the vehicle during acceleration or during starting phases or in city traffic.

It is important to know that this electric motor does not recharge using a socket. Energy is only recaptured during braking and slowing down.

Rechargeable hybrid vehicles are hybrids with a larger electric motor and fitted with a connector allowing to directly recharge the battery by plugging it into an electric outlet.

This allows driving for several tens of kilometers on electric power without consuming a single drop of fuel. Its range is generally sufficient to assure most of the daily trips.
